Here you predominantly find guitar pieces that were composed for the use in my guitar lessons. All those pieces are probed in practical work and are meant to support different technical aspects of guitar playing.
Included are ony pieces that students liked to play a lot (what also means to practice a lot ;-)
- Bumblebee Blues
A recently composed blues, already successfully tested with different beginners of the guitar (as well as of the blues)
It's a typical 16 bar blues for students in the initial phase of playing with fretted bass notes. A common problem here is the ability to bend and move the pinky in a controlled way, while the ring finger is fixed on a bass string.
Again a mp3 file (~250 kb) instead of a midi file.
- Die blaue Stunde
(The Twilight Hour)
An easy piece with melodie in the bass voice, accompanied by easy chords on the melody-strings.
- Klein wild Voegelein
(Little Wild Bird)
This piece is an arrangement of an old German folk song for solo guitar. It's not really difficult except that you have to keep the fingers of your left hand spread in the first position.
- Schlaflied
(Lullaby)
A calm and soothing lullaby, with some unusual harmonies and the unusual (for guitarists) key of C minor. This piece technically also helps you to practice keeping your left-hand fingers in position.
